For some pet owners their furry friend is more like one of their children. They are fed only on the best cuts of meat, allowed to sleep in the bed and have free run of the house. The only difficulty with having pets who are used to nothing but luxury is that if, for some reason, you need to go away from home for a short time then who will keep up this level of care. The main options really are to employ a pet sitter or book your cat or dog into a pet hotel.
A pet sitter is someone who will come to stay in your house while you are away. If you are lucky then as well as feeding and occupying your pet they will also water the plants and maybe do some housework. An added bonus is that your house won’t be left empty and a temptation to burglars. By having someone come to your house it means that your pet doesn’t have the stress of having to be somewhere new without you and your dog can sleep in his own dog kennel at night.
Another option is a boarding kennels. These places will have a run allocated to each pet with its own bed and feeding bowls. Dogs are exercised daily and all animals are kept a close eye on for any sign of illness. If you don’t want your pet to be treated simply as an animal then a pet hotel is a better option. These are basically the same as kennels but are more luxurious. They get special treats to eat, extra individual attention and the option of more exercise. Dogs can also use the hydrotherapy pool and all pets have access to a professional who can deal with all their grooming needs.
