Use Cork Board To Protect Your Walls From Darts

I was reading loads about electronic dartboards the other day at a site called electronic dartboard central and I discovered several great tips on how to protect my wall from darts. I have an electronic dartboard in my family room and I like to toss darts at it from time to time but I’m not very good at it. Since I’m not very precise with my throws I usually miss the dartboard quite a bit and I’ve created some severe damage to my wall.

Instead of spackling the wall every week to hide the holes in my wall I decided there has to be a simpler way. I went on the internet to find a few opinions and I came across the idea of using cork board behind the dartboard. I went to Staples and purchased a cork board to position behind the dartboard. Now the dartboard has a nice frame around it and if I miss the dartboard I won’t put a hole in the wall.

One of the great things about using an electronic dartboard for practice is that several models of electronic dartboards will allow you to keep track of your scores over a long period of time. As you develop your skills, and learn to play better darts, you will be able to keep a record of your scores as they begin to rise up and up. When you first start you will most likely discover that the dart scores are jumping all over the place but as soon as you begin to build up a real skill level you'll see your scores begin to level out.

Use your scores to determine your growth and also to experiment with different throwing styles. You can toss the darts using one technique to see how you did and then fling them using a totally different method to see which way works better. As you experiment with different styles you will develop into an improved dart thrower.
