Before you can even get a a solar blanket to use you will need to figure out what size pool you have. By doing that you will need to use a tape measure to measure the length and width of the pool. Also now would be a great time to decide if you would like a reel for the blanket. If you are wondering what reel is it a reel that has wheels that attahooks onto the pool to aid you in removing the solar blanket when the time comes. The blanket attaches to the reel by straps. After you have measured the pool go to the pool store to find the solar cover.
1. The solar blanket will come tightly wrapped up in its box. So you will need to take it out of the box and unroll it. You may need another person to help you as it might be heavy, and or bulky.
2. You will need to unroll it so that the bubble on the blanket is facing down towards the pool.
3. Cut the blanket to size, but keep in mind you don't want too much hanging over the edges and or if you are using a reel you need to take that into consideration.
4. When you want your pool water warmed up keep the blanket on the pool and when the sun is out it will heat up the solar parts on the blanket hence then heating up your pool water. Keep it on on at night time as well to trap in the heat.
4. To use the pool you will need to take off the blanket by rolling it up.
5. To clean the solar pool cover you can use the hose, solar blanket cleaner, and the pool brush. Gently scrub and then hose off.
6. When not in use store the blanket in the storage bag that it came with.
