These new adhesives are very long lasting and they even allow the wearer to swim in a pool with the toupee on. The other great advancement was the base material. Originally the best method of building a toupee involved tying the individual hairs onto a piece of lace. This gave a very bumpy appearance and was noticeable at close range. With the advances in base materials this is no longer a problem. The individual hair shafts are actually injected into the rubber-like base material while it is curing which gives a very natural look. It really seems like the hairs are actually growing right out of the base just like a normal scalp.
The combination of better adhesives and injected hairs can now be combined to give you a very nice hair line above the face which looks very natural. In fact, many men can comb the hair of the toupee straight back and still no one knows they are wearing a hair replacement system.
The other selling point is that the hair replacement cost has actually gone down relative to the inflation of other products. You can get a hair piece for about $100 online but I don't recommend that. You would be better off to pay $300-$400 and get one that will last a long time and give you a natural looking head of
