Care For Dinosaur Bedding Sets

Care for dinosaur bedding set is much the same as caring for any other bedding that kids use. Most dinosaur bedding sets that kids use are going to be 100% cotton or a cotton blend of some type that will stand up to the use and abuse that kids give everything they possess. As with most things a careful eye on keeping it clean and taking care of stains immediately after they appear will help keep the bedding set looking good for a long time.

Dinosaur bedding may be more prone to staining and hard use than other bedding especially a single color comforter or plain white sheets. Dinosaur bed sheets are more fun to play with and kids can spend hours tracing the dinosaurs by hand and playing make believe that are cavemen hunting dinosaurs or whatever catches their fancy. Most cavemen never had popsicles to leave stains on their cave floors and I don’t think they chewed bubble gum to stick between the sheets and comforter, but I guess you never know.

Care for those types of stains requires as immediate action as possible. Popsicle food coloring stains will probably never come out if left to dry for a week or so ( What’s a kid doing with a popsicle in bed anyway? ) and quick use of stain removers like shout and rinsing in cool water should get the coloring to come out.

Gum is another problem and some recommend the use of hairspray to remove gum, but a better way, I think, is to use ice on the gum and freeze it and it will often pull right off of the fabric. Then treat the spot and wash as usual. Some of these things shouldn’t happen, but dinosaur bedding is just too much fun. Too many times fun for the kids means extra work for the parents, but a vigilant eye on that fun should help avoid permanent damage.
